Product Description SDPK Each ZipWall Side Pack package (SDPK) contains six 3-foot Foam Rails, six Side Clamps, and a Carry Bag. The Side Pack kit is used with the ZipWall Dust Barrier System to create a dust-tight seal along the walls, from floor to ceiling without tape, staples or furring strips. This prevents costly repairs to painted surfaces. Six Side Clamp/Foam Rail assemblies can be created. Three assemblies are used on each side of the barrier. They are overlapped for total height of 9 feet per wall. Squeeze and open the jaws of the Side Clamp until they open and attach a Foam Rail at the center. Now, place the assembly between the last pole in the barrier and the wall. Side Clamp/Foam Rail assemblies are overlapped to provide a continuous seal from floor to ceiling. They work with all ZipWall poles. When you need the barrier tightly sealed, or if your barrier is going to be up for an extended period of time, the Side Pack is a great way to go. | Customer Reviews: not as slick as the rest of the system May 11, 2010 Bill Mcblaine I got these thinking it would make a big difference in closing off spaces. I have not found them to be very useful. Sounds good on paper. If you use the foam rails to support the plastic on the ceiling, you won't have a post close enough to the wall to mount these on, so, you need two more posts to set this up. I suppose if you don't use the foam rails on the ceiling and use the standard poles you can space them to work.
Dust protection made easy April 14, 2010 G. Christy (New Kensington, PA, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I use this for creating a work space separate from the rest of the home. I'm a remodeler and customers love the fact that dust is contained within the work space. It's easy to set up - about 10 minutes and fits in the back of my pickup. The only thing you need to be careful of is when taking it down. The dust collects on the inside of the plastic sheeting due to static and if you're not careful, all that preparation goes out the window when the dust flies off and goes into the rest of the home. I've solved that problem with a little 1/2 gallon mist sprayer. Just mist the inside of the plastic just before you take it down and the dust stays put. I use this all the time. It makes cleanup much easier for dusty jobs like drywall or plaster.
Needs redesign Im Sorry I ordered it April 3, 2010 Phil's Handy Service Tampa (Tampa FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Save your money! this is not worth the cost 1 does not hold tight enough to hold negative air in a containment area. your better off tapping walls. 2 will not work if ceiling has Crown molding designed for strait walls only
